My names Abi, I live in Cornwall and have my first MHM walk in Helston on Sunday. I’ve had quite severe anxiety on and off for as long as I remember, particularly about health – so as much as organising this has made me nervous, I’m also keen to do something postive for mental health in my area. In my spare time I love art, especially to paint in watercolour, and I read as much as I can. Bryony’s books inspired me to start running (week 3 going ‘strong’). Pleased to meet you all 🙂

    Hi Abi,

I am completely new to this and by now you’ll have done one (or many) of your Mental Health Walks! So well done you as with having anxiety that will not have been an easy task! I have organised my first Mental Health Mates walk to take place in two weeks (October 15th) and although im very much looking forward to it im also quite nervous!

My name is Keeley and I also have a history of struggling with anxiety, and other mental health issues since I was 12 or possibly even younger and im 41 now so thats a looooonnnngggg time!! But like you I found Bryonys books so inspiring and also her podcasts and also like you i started running at the beginning of this year and its helped my anxiety so very much!

I hope your doing well, and the mental helth mates community and walks has helped with your anxiety.

    Keeley.
